On April 30, 2014 I am a motivational keynote speaker of the Head to Toe Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Over 400 professionals will attend the conference at the Hotel Albuquerque. The conference in it's 18th year will attract an audience comprised of social workers, nurses and school counsellors.
Everyone in the audience works in a school environment to help students thrive and succeed. Today's school environment is very diverse and students have challenges with parents, bullying, focus and managing their time and health.
These professionals work tirelessly to make sure that students get the best out of their education experience. Like most government funded environments, they do it with limited and shrinking resources and funding.
The health of the whole student is a big focus which involves family partnerships and living environments. Not surprizingly many professionals suffer compassion fatigue and find it challenging to leave the challenges of students behind to focus on their own families.
I am the closing motivational keynote speaker for the Head to Toe Conference. I am presenting the motivational speech, This Would be Funny if it Wasn't Happening to Me!
