On March 25, 2017, I am a motivational speaker for the Association of Public Sector Information Professionals Annual DPI, Professional Development Week.
The Event, held at the Ottawa Convention Center will bring together over 1,000 public sector information professionals. The audience will include technical analysts, policy makers, and senior managers.
The theme of this year's event is Innovation Awakens- Collaboration, Partnership, and Agility.
Public service information professionals are called on to engage the public and be more and more open, transparent, collaborative and adaptable.
In the government information sector, even innovative solutions have to be flexible.
The DPI has an amazing line up of guest speakers on topics ranging from health and nutrition, communication, leadership, digital transformation, conflict resolution and much more.
The motivational keynote speakers are Michele Romanow from CBC's Dragon's Den, Mark Bowden on Winning Body Language, and Michael Wernick from the Government of Canada. Margaret Trudeau will also tell her amazing story as a mental health advocate. Futurist Nikolas Badminton will present about the new information economy. The closing motivational speaker will be Spencer West, a double amputee and a motivational speaker for social change.
This is the second time I have been one of the funny motivational speakers for the DPI, I will deliver the speech, This Would be Funny if it Wasn't Happening to Me! How to Navigate the Future with Enthusiasm and Vigor.
