On April 24, 2018, I am a motivational speaker for the NAFA's Fleet Management Institute & Expo, held the convention center in Anaheim, California.
Over 1,000 fleet managers from across the world will attend. NAFA is the world's premier not- for -profit association for professionals who manage fleets of sedans, law enforcement vehicles, trucks and buses, and a wide range of military and off-road equipment.
The fleets that NAFA members handle are as diverse as the organizations they work for. Managing a different network of fleets is demanding, very analytical work.
A fleet manager’s day involves a lot of data and reporting, with the goal of saving time and money. These managers analyze everything from idle time, routes, vehicle mileage, repair, and replacement.
They are experts at telematics, understanding statistics and variables to drive productivity.
The other element of a fleet managers job is leading diverse fleet management teams. Like any management role, managing people can be challenging. Everything from hiring, firing, schedule planning, motivating people and more is a part of the job.
The workshop guest speaker sessions include: fleet mobility, disaster planning, asset management, big data, safety, tech mobility and it impacts on fleet management, optimizing operations, a Canadian Fleet Workshop and more
I am also looking forward to Emcee NAFA's Fleet Excellence (Flexy) Awards. We will recognize professionals in 9 categories. The Flexy recognizes the best and brightest in the field.
I look forward to being the opening funny motivational speaker for the NAFA conference. I will present the motivational speech; This Would Be Funny if it Wasn't Happening to Me! How to Navigate the Future with Humor, Enthusiasm, and Vigor
