On October 23, 2014, I am a motivational speaker for the Waterloo, Kitchener, Guelph Allies in Aging Conference. The conference, held at the Bingemans Conference Center will bring over 400 alzheimers advocates.
The conference attracts anyone who interacts in any capacity with someone who has any kind of dementia and individuals in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias.
A number of family members who have loved ones affected by the disease will attend. Also care workers from long term care facilities will attend. This could include Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Dieticians, nurses, nursing aides, care aides and more.
Also in attendence will be approximately 200 students from the St. Louis School of Nursing. The students are enrolled in the personal support worker program and will be working directly with Alzheimers residents.
The other motivational speaker for the Allies in Aging Conference is Dave Howlett giving a motivational speech on connecting as a real human being. Dave will help people leverage how real and genuine they are.
I am the closing motivational speaker with the motivational speech The Nerve to Serve... Say Hello to Humor & Goodbye to Burnout! The goal is to share inspiration with hard working support workers how to focus on personal wellness, decreasing stress and having fun.
