On April 28, 2017, I am a motivational speaker for the CISS Summit at the Hilton Toronto, Ontario.
The event is held by the University Health Network in Toronto, will attract 200 people, many of which work for the UHN. The summit is open to other healthcare professionals in Ontario involved in surgical care.
The theme of the conference is One Goal, One Team, No limits! The goal of the conference this year is to focus teamwork and patient-centered care. We will celebrate the success of the Patient Surgical Journey.
The University Health Network includes the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, Toronto Rehab ( several locations) and Toronto Western Hospital.
The other funny motivational speakers for the conference are Stephanie Staples and Sandra Robinson. Workshop sessions include diverse topics like Specimen errors in the OR, Promoting Patient Safety, Engagement, Interoperative Distractions, Legal Accountability and the Surgical Nurse and more.
The conference is also focusing on wellness and taking care of yourself, a big part of that means guest speakers will use humor to engage the crowd. Laughing is a great stress relief and healthcare professionals love to laugh.
The UHN's motto, Courage Lives Here, speaks to the patient's courageous journey and the healthcare team's dedication to patient-centered care.
I love forward to being the closing session funny motivational speakers. I will present the motivational speech, The Joy of the Job, Keys to Meaningful Work.
