I am pleased to be the closing keynote inspirational speaker for the NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) nursing conference on April 8, 2011. Over 400 nurses and health care professionals will attend the conference.
"On the Front Line of Change!" is the theme of this great event. Nurses are the inspirational source that families and elder patients turn to in times of need. They are the go- to professional.
NICHE is a program of the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing at New York University College of Nursing.
The annual conferences give healthcare professionals the opportunity to share and learn evidence-based geriatric best practices to help meet the goal of excellence in nursing care for the hospitalized older adult.
As a speaker for the healthcare conference I will present “How to Embrace Change with Humor, Enthusiasm and Vigor”. Nurses are change agents and influence change every day. They act as advocates on behalf of families and patients to influence their care. Nurses also influence the health care system.
In most hospital environments the patient to staff ratio is high. This translates to nurses being run off their feet, scrambling to meet the needs of their patients everyday. As nurses struggle to maintain good care through their professional associations nurses make a difference by reporting errors and near misses, understaffing errors and more.
Their will be 3 other keynote inspirational speakers for the nursing conference: Dr. Marie Manthey, Dr. Kellie Flood, and Dr. Tara Cortes.
Don't Miss this Inspirational Event for healthcare professionals!
