On November 7, 2013, I was a motivational speaker for the Society of Human Resources Managers Delaware conference at the University of Delaware, Clayton Hall.
The event attracted over 400 Human resources professionals from across delaware. HR professionals constantly grapple with how to attract and retain professionals, how to stay on top of increasingly hectic work loads and how to influence others when you don't have authority over them.
What's challenging about Human Resources is if something has to be done and it doesn't fit under anyone elses job description, it falls into the hands of the HR professional.
I was the closing motivational speaker for the SHRM conference presenting the motivational speech This would be Funny if it Wasn't Happening to Me! How to embrace change with enthusiasm and Vigor.
It was a very engaged and interactive audience at the end of a very long day. The other motivational speaker for the SHRM conference presented motivational speeches on communication skills, HR policy and technology in the industry.
