I was a motivational speaker the Essette software user group conference.
The company makes software that supports patient care coordinators and health plans to help patients navigate an increasingly complex healthcare system. The software is flexible and configured to a clients unique needs.
During an interactive session, clients ( Essette software users) asked Essette staff ( many of them software designers) questions about what potential enhancements could be done with the technology. Essette prides itself in being agile and flexible to client needs and market demands.
During the session, the Essette true colors came through. When asked to alter the software, Essette software designers jumped at the task. They considered the request and with the audience coming along for the journey, they started devouring the possibilities.
It was fascinating to watch a group of people immediately accept all possibilities, integrate suggestions and consider solutions.
Most client interaction sessions involve a simple Q and A where current solutions ( rules) are considered answers. At Essette, a clients needs or even suggestions are immediately considered and almost as quickly integrated.
Most organizations have set products, services, and solutions. If a clients needs don't fit these solutions, your option is to take what you get or move on. In the name of bulk efficiency, they are rigid to real solutions.
Essette and its staff truly are agile, nimble and prepared to respond to client needs.
I got the sense the company exists to serve the people and not the other way around. Essette staff care about each other and their clients and are like a family. This nurturing fosters a deep sense of belongingness.
I enjoyed being the opening motivational speaker for the Essette software inaugural conference. I presented the speech, This Would be Funny if it Wasn't Happening to Me...How to Embrace Change With Humor, Enthusiasm and Vigor.
