On October 6, 2016, I am a funny motivational speaker for FirstWork( the Ontario Association of Youth Employment Services.
The event, taking place at the Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ontario will bring together over 300 hard working, passionate professionals who work with youth who have barriers to employment. These barriers can be poverty, substance abuse or disability.
First Work supports and advocates for a sustainable youth employment delivery network. The organizations vision is to go to the media, policy makers and youth employment organizations and advocate for your employment.
This passionate group stands behind the idea that all youth deserve equal opportunity and access to employment and services.
Youth Employment Centres are located throughout ontario and provide free workshop, events and employment support and counselling. They also reach out to the community and look for employers.
Helping people with barriers to become productive members in the community can be meaningful, challenging and exhausting.
I am thrilled to be the closing funny motivational speakerfor the Ontario Youth Employment Services Conference. I will present the motivational speech, This Would be Funny if it Wasn't Happening to Me!
