On May 13, 2015, I am the opening funny motivational keynote speaker for the Society of Plastic Surgical Skincare Specialists conference in Montreal.
Approximatley 150 nurses and estheticians will attend the event.
These skincare specialists work with clients who want to improve their lives by having invasive and non- invasive skincare treatments. Some of the invasive treatements include facelifts, tummy tucks or breast implants. The use of non- invasive treatments has really exploded in the last ten years. These include treatments like botox, juvaderm, microdermabrasion and more.
These procedures often require little downtime and can drastically improve the way a client looks. Working with people to help them look better is great because it can provide an instant boost to self esteem.
The industry is constantly changing as new procedures and products are being introduced. Also considering, it used to be that people had surgery for life or death reasons. Now, people can elect to have surgery for cosmetic reasons(cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance). Given that reimbursements are lower and lower these types of procedures can really help boost a practices bottom line.
For these financial reason, many non plastic or dermal facilities keep popping up and some are not doing the job right. In trying to make a quick buck - they still may not be properly educated or able to apply some of the fillers or do some of the procedures.
The theme of the 21st Annual Meeting is Skin Care 2015 – Exploring Science and Technology in Plastic Surgical Skin Care.
I look forward to being the opening funny motivational keynote speaker for the Plastic Surgical Skincare Conference. This group of nurses and aestheticians loves to laugh.
