On August 26, 2014 I am a motivational speaker for the Kansas Water Environment Association and the Kansas Section of the American Water Works Association.
The joint conference will bring over 700 water professionals together from across Kansas. The audience is made up primarily of water plant supervisors, directors, superintendents, managers, operators and vendors.
Most water professionals work in either a water treatment plant which treats either surface ( usuallly in eastern kansas) or ground water ( western kansas) or they work in a waste water plant. In wastewater plants, the challenge is to remove human solids from the water in their treatment.
This audience of mostly supervisors, managers and leaders- must deal with critical HR issues like scheduling, hiring and firing, generational challenges and workplace morale.
Most water treatment plants are owned by the municipal and plant operators are civil servants( government employees). Every plant answers to the EPA and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. They must make sure all the checks and balances are in place to follow protocol and remove contaminants from the water.
I am looking forward to being a motivational speaker for the Kansas Water Environment Association and the Kansas Section of the American Water Works Association Conference. I will present the opening motivational speech, The Nerve to Serve... Say Hello to Humor & Goodbye to Burnout! Followed by an afternoon break out session motivational speech, I Love my Job it's the People I can't Stand!
provide environmentally stainable services in the future.
